Camp Hill Borough
As part of the complete kitchen remodel, the entire wall separating the kitchen from the dining room was removed, creating an absolute ‘wow factor’ when you walked from the front living room into the dining room. We were also able to incorporate an island into the design by using slightly narrower base cabinets on the kitchen workspace side. Additional details like a leather finish on the granite countertop, subway tiles on the backsplash, and abundant warm lighting truly complements the 1920s character of this home.

This highly functional kitchen, which is now more open, was all accomplished without building an expensive addition or taking square footage from another room. Beautiful details like hardwood flooring, a custom niche over the cooktop, and Iguana granite will keep this kitchen warm and inviting for many years.

Everything in this kitchen is BIG - Even the clock on the wall is big! The counter work area around the sink and cooktop is spacious, making meal prep easy and enjoyable. There is a tremendous amount of storage that was created by extending the new cabinets to the ceiling and adding a buffet section along the dining room wall. Then add an island with an 8-foot-long top, and you have a larger kitchen than is found in most 3,000 square foot homes!
This home is a 2,000-square-foot 1970’s split level. By removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, the feel of the kitchen grew larger and more integrated with the rest of the home. The shallow closets on the dining room wall were demolished to make room for the buffet, so the dining room also grew larger without adding any square footage.
The dining room already had hardwood flooring, which was preserved and complements the warm earth tone ceramic tile installed in the kitchen. These two rooms remain as defined, separate spaces and are now enjoyed more as a result of creative design features that enhance their function.
